About the role

Nexo Roofing Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Roof Plumber to join our team in Adelaide. This is a full-time position based in Adelaide SA 5000. As a Roof Plumber, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of roofing systems and associated plumbing work. You will be responsible for ensuring that all roofing and water management systems are installed to the highest standards, meeting Australian Building Standards and relevant regulations. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

1. Install, repair, and maintain roof plumbing systems including gutters, downpipes, flashings, and valley systems

2. Inspect roofs and identify issues such as leaks, deterioration, and structural damage

3. Perform repairs and replacements on residential and commercial roofing systems

4. Ensure all work complies with Australian Building Standards and relevant safety regulations

5. Measure and cut materials accurately to specifications

6. Apply waterproofing sealants and protective coatings as required

7. Work safely at heights and follow all site safety protocols

8. Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding project progress and any issues identified

9. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

10. Assist in problem-solving and offering practical solutions for complex roofing challenges

What we're looking for

1. A recognised apprenticeship or formal qualification in roof plumbing or a related trade

2. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in roof plumbing work

3. Proficiency in installing and repairing gutters, downpipes, flashings, and other roof plumbing components

4. Strong knowledge of Australian Building Standards and relevant plumbing codes

5. Excellent working at heights with a demonstrated commitment to safety

6. Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in roof plumbing

7. Sound understanding of waterproofing techniques and materials

8. A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport

9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

11. Good communication and customer service skills

12. Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions

13. Current First Aid certification (desirable)
