Foundry Production Operators
Intercast & Forge is Australia's largest independent iron foundry, supplying high-quality castings to the rail, automotive and general engineering industries.
We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Production Workers to join our manufacturing operations across both day and night shifts.
This is not a warehouse or light manufacturing position. Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, mining, steel, foundry or similar physically demanding environments.
These positions are offered on a casual basis with consistent hours and genuine opportunities for permanent employment for employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, attendance and a commitment to safety.
You will be working in a physically demanding, heavy industrial environment operating on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts), with overtime opportunities available during peak production periods.
About the Role
This is a hands-on manufacturing role involving:
Heavy manual labour and repetitive physical tasks
Use of grinders, power tools and production equipment
Handling castings and manufactured components
Quality inspections and visual checks
Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Working in hot, dusty and noisy industrial conditions
A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding manual work safely is essential.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
A minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing, production, labouring, construction, foundry, steel, mining, transport or other heavy industrial environments
Demonstrated experience undertaking physically demanding work
A strong commitment to workplace safety
The ability to follow procedures and work instructions accurately
Reliable transport and a current driver's licence
Recent and contactable work references
Full and unrestricted Right to Work in Australia
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
Foundry, steelworks or metal manufacturing environments
Welding, grinding, fettling or finishing work
Operating power tools and industrial equipment
Forklift operation (current licence advantageous)
Quality inspection or manufacturing process work
Pre-Employment Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to complete:
Pre-Employment Medical Assessment
Drug and Alcohol Screening (conducted as part of the medical)
