Tenkate Plant Hire Pty Ltd is a proudly family-owned business operating a large, modern fleet of earthmoving and heavy transport equipment across Queensland. We are seeking a qualified Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team in a role that combines workshop duties with field service work.

This position is suited to a reliable tradesperson who enjoys varied work, problem-solving, and developing advanced skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

About the Role

• Minimum 38 hours per week with some overtime available

• Combination of workshop and site-based field service work

• Maintenance, diagnostics, breakdown response, and repairs

• Work across a modern fleet including:

  • Volvo articulated haulers, excavators, and loaders

  • Caterpillar dozers

  • Heavy road transport equipment

About You

• Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter (Cert III)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working on earthmoving equipment

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

• Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Current Australian C-Class driver’s licence (or higher)

• HRWL (Forklift, CN) licences — desirable

• Australian citizen or permanent resident
