The Position

This a workshop-based Truck/Plant Mechanic role working on the companies' range of specialized construction equipment which is heavy vehicle mounted. The role's a mix of working on heavy vehicles and heavy-duty construction equipment that mounted to these vehicles. The role covers all the normal heavy-vehicle mechanical tasks like servicing, repairs and maintenance to steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, preparing vehicles for inspections, etc. Also working on the truck-mounted, PTO driven, hydraulically operated construction equipment. These tasks cover working on hydraulic systems, pumps and various mechanical systems. This gives the role a broad range of duties and no two days will be the same. If you're looking to take your Heavy Vehicle/Plant Mechanic career to the next level, this is the role for you. Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm plus overtime available.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Cert III Heavy Vehicle, Cert III Plant Mechanic, additional qualifications highly regarded. 

  • Experience working on, servicing and repairing heavy vehicles.

  • Experience working on mobile plant or exposure/experience with hydraulic systems. Or if you're keen and willing to learn more about hydraulic systems and mobile plant.

  • A minimum of 4-years post qualification experience working on heavy vehicles/mobile plant and has sound mechanical knowledge.

  • A positive & helpful attitude, someone who will build and strengthen our positive team-culture, rather than detract from it.

  • Sound self-organizational, computer and communication skills with a professional manner.

  • The ability and willingness to complete technical and skills training.

  • Australian PR or Citizenship - Essential.

  • Driver's license - Essential.
