Senior Hairdresser stylist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hairdresser/Stylist to join The Parlour For Hair in Bankstown, NSW. This is a full-time position, providing exceptional hairstyling services whilst mentoring junior team members. As a Senior Hairdresser/Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services to our valued clientele, setting the standard for excellence within our salon, and contributing to a positive and professional working environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing a comprehensive range of hairstyling services including cuts, colour, treatments and styling for diverse clientele

2. Mentoring and coaching junior hairdressers and apprentices to develop their technical skills and professional practices

3. Maintaining the highest standards of salon hygiene, health and safety in accordance with industry regulations

4. Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty

5. Assisting in the training and development of salon staff, sharing best practices and techniques

6. Contributing to the salon's visual presentation and retail displays

7. Managing your own appointment schedule efficiently and meeting salon targets

8. Staying current with the latest trends, techniques and products in the hair and beauty industry

9. Supporting the salon team in achieving business objectives and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3+ years' experience as a qualified hairdresser/stylist in a professional salon environment

2. A recognised qualification in hairdressing or equivalent industry certification

3. Proven expertise in a wide range of hairstyling techniques including cutting, colouring, foiling and styling

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues

5. Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience mentoring or training junior staff

6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results consistently

7. A passion for hair and beauty with a keen interest in current trends and techniques

8. Professional approach to client confidentiality and salon policies

9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

10. Customer service excellence and ability to manage client expectations
