About the role..This role provides support during all aspects of the employee life cycle including onboarding, professional development, and performance management. The role provides processing support as well as first level advice to management and employees on a diverse range of People and Culture enquiries. It also supports the wider team by ensuring People and Culture information and record management systems are always up-to-date.
Tasks and responsibilities..Provide a range of administrative and support services to the People and Culture function including responding to employee queries, consult and advise on policies and procedures to ensure compliance and escalate and redirect issues as required to ensure accurate information is maintained and timely advice is provided
Support the People and Culture team with the administration and coordination of the end-to-end employee lifecycle: recruitment, induction, onboarding, flexible work, training and development, transfers and terminations
Provide advice and support Team leaders/Team Managers with the management of their direct reports including the execution of ER processes around performance management (PIPs) and disciplinary matters of low to medium risk and complexity level. Ensure appropriate documentation is produced and recorded at all times.
Coordinate Return to Work plan as required for the assigned client portfolio
Administer people related systems; ensure accurate and up to date data is maintained. Compile and provide accurate HR reporting as required.
Ensure people are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles; support the effective and timely implementation of performance, talent and remuneration cycles
Influence the development of a high-performance culture with a focus on initiatives and projects which improve employee engagement. Support leaders with communication and change management initiatives
Skills and experience.. - Previous experience in a generalist HR role with a focus on ERo
- Strong communication skills, including communication on key changes and sensitive issues to all employees across the business
- Experience in conducting difficult conversations with confidence, empathy and accuracy
- Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the organisation
- Good personal, interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise, communicate on progress and meet deadlines
- Good knowledge of AU/NZ/UK employment legislation and business practices
- Ability to manage low to medium-risk ER cases from start to full resolution, including writing letters and managing meetings with the relevant Team Manager or Team Leader.
- Good analytical skills and ability to provide meaningful insights from data sets Desirable
- Previous experience implementing/administering with Human Resource Information Systems
- Previous project coordination experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Essential
- AHRI Certification (desirable)
