Position Overview:

• Qualified  Technician.

• Must possess industry level certification to operate as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic in relevant state, territory or jurisdiction.

• Developed knowledge of the automotive industry.

• Ability to work productively in an autonomous environment.

• Highly motivated.

• Customer Service focused.

• Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task where required.

• Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit.

• Salary Negotiable according to Experience.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Perform schedule services including brake repair, tyre rotation and suspension repair work

• Experience in diagnostic repair in vehicle issues

• Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and diffs.

• Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to foreman or service manager and record using in-house databases or reporting systems.

• Quoting and ordering parts needed as required.

• Accessory fitting when required.

• Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians.

• Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range.

• Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialized equipment.

• Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to customers.

• Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles

Desirable:

• Technical aptitude and post-trade experience in a similar role

• Additional qualifications in the automotive/mechanical field

• Prior experience with Toyota vehicles
