• Role: Maintenance Fitter

• Location: Derrimut, VIC

• Shift: Night Shift (10:00pm – 6:00am)

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Fitter to support operations at our Derrimut site. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems

• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns

• Support improvement projects and equipment upgrades

• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with CHEP standards

• Maintain workshop safety and uphold 5S standards

• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices and equipment reliability

• Participate in site meetings and collaborate with operations teams

About You

• Trade qualified in mechanical disciplines

• Previous welding experience

• Experience in industrial or production maintenance

• Experience working with Boilers (preferred)

• Experience working with a HACCP system (preferred)

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

• Adaptable and solutions-focused approach

• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
