Apprentice Fitter Machinist Opportunity – July 2026 Start
Hiflow Hydraulic Services is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Fitter Machinist to join our team in 2026.
Based in Seven Hills, we are a hydraulic repair and machining workshop that works on a wide range of industrial equipment, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves and machinery components.
This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you will learn real trade skills from experienced tradespeople. You will be involved in machining, fitting, mechanical repairs, measuring, reading drawings, fault finding and helping repair equipment for our customers.
Our team has over 100 years of combined experience, and you will be supported while you learn the trade and build your skills over time.
What you will learn
Reading engineering drawings and turning them into accurate machined components.
Using workshop machinery and tools safely and correctly.
Measuring, fitting and assembling mechanical parts.
Repairing hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
Diagnosing problems and helping create long-lasting repair solutions.
Working with experienced fitters and machinists to improve your skills.
Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised.
What we are looking for
Eligible to work in Australia.
A strong interest in mechanical work, machining, fitting or engineering.
Good attention to detail.
Reliable, willing to learn and able to follow instructions.
A good attitude and pride in your work.
An interest in subjects such as Technology, Mathematics, Metalwork or Engineering.
Year 10 students, school leavers and young people looking to start a trade are encouraged to apply.
Highly regarded
Previous experience with machining, engineering, mechanical repairs or hands-on workshop work.
A genuine interest in how machines work.
A current driver’s licence.
Consistent reliability and a strong work ethic.
