About the role
Global Monitoring is seeking a Casual Security Monitoring Control Room Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems and responding to alarm activations to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties.
What you'll be doing
Continuously monitor security cameras, alarms, and other security systems to detect potential threats or incidents
Respond promptly to alarm activations and other security events, following established protocols to assess the situation and take appropriate action
Communicate with clients, emergency services, and other relevant parties to coordinate an effective response to security incidents
Maintain detailed records of security activities, incidents, and actions taken
Assist with the maintenance and testing of security equipment to ensure it is functioning properly
Provide excellent customer service and act as a first point of contact for clients with security concerns
What we're looking for
Experience in a security monitoring or control room role, with a strong understanding of security systems and protocols
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Attention to detail and the ability to quickly assess and respond to security situations
Familiarity with relevant security industry regulations and standards
A current security (1E) or the ability to obtain one (1E)
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
