About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lawn & Maintenance Officer to support the upkeep of our properties and participant residences.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime where operationally required.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable travelling between multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lawn mowing, edging, and general garden maintenance

• Weed control, pruning, hedging, and yard clean-ups

• Minor property maintenance and repairs

• Ensuring all properties are safe, clean, and presentable

• Travelling between multiple sites across your allocated region

• Safe use and maintenance of equipment

What We Offer

• Full-time employment (Monday to Friday roster)

• Pay in line with the Horticulture Award (MA000028)

  • Approx. $24.00 – $30.00 per hour + applicable penalties and overtime rates, depending on experience

• Overtime opportunities paid in accordance with the Award

• Fuel allowance + vehicle allowance for use of your own vehicle

PPE & Equipment

• Blue Iris will provide required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including items such as high-visibility clothing, gloves, and other safety equipment as needed

• Employees are expected to wear PPE in line with workplace health and safety requirements at all times

• Basic tools and equipment may be supplied where required

• All equipment must be used safely, maintained appropriately, and returned in good condition where company-owned

Requirements

• Experience in lawn care, gardening, or property maintenance

• Own reliable vehicle (essential)

• Current Driver’s Licence

• Ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently

• Reliable, punctual, and strong attention to detail

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
