YOUR NEW POSITION

We currently have a vacancy for a full time experienced Boilermaker with Fitting Experience to join our Lisarow team. To succeed in this role you will be a self motivated individual, able to work autonomously or as part of a team within a dynamic work environment. You will have a “can do” attitude, able to problem solve individually or as part of a team effort to overcome challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

• Fabrication, repair and refurbishment of pumps, valves, pipework, structural components and auxiliary equipment
• Carry out fitting and assembly works associated with rotating equipment and mechanical systems
• Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication details
• Inspect and measure components to close tolerances
• Complete repair reports, dimensional checks and photographic records where required
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication works to a high standard
• Conduct onsite shutdown and maintenance work as required
• Assist with general workshop maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience in heavy industrial fabrication, rotating equipment, pumps, valves or mechanical maintenance environments is preferred.

The ability to machine components using a lathe, mill or horizontal borer would be seen as an advantage.

Required Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker) or equivalent
• Fitting and mechanical maintenance experience
• Full Australian Driver’s Licence (C Class)

Desirable Qualifications

• WorkCover White / Industry Card
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• Forklift Licence
• MR Truck Licence
• High Risk Work Licence Dogging
• Rigging or EWP tickets highly regarded
• Welding qualifications highly regarded
