With depots located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, and a modern fleet of more than 100 prime movers, 250 trailers and 50 rigid vehicles, we take great pride in maintaining our equipment to the highest standards.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team based at our Head Office in Dandenong South.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanic looking to work with a well-maintained fleet, modern workshop facilities, and a supportive team environment.
About the Role
As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections, diagnostics and fault finding on heavy vehicles, trailers and associated equipment
Carry out major and minor servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance
Repair and maintain prime movers, trailers, rigid trucks and courier vehicles
Attend breakdowns and field service work when required
Complete maintenance documentation and service records accurately
Assist with workshop stock control and spare parts management
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
Previous experience working on heavy vehicles and trailers
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience with servicing and maintenance of transport fleets
Refrigeration experience (desirable but not essential)
Safety is everyone's responsibility. Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Current Australian Driver's Licence
