This is your opportunity to join a specialist marine civil construction team delivering wharf, jetty, piling and coastal infrastructure projects across Queensland. We’re looking for a qualified Carpenter / Formwork Carpenter with proven experience in heavy formwork, timber fabrication, and structural works in marine or civil environments.

About the Role
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary construction crew to construct, erect, install and repair timber and formwork structures for marine civil projects. This includes wharf decks, headstocks, abutments, boat ramps, retaining structures, pontoons, and temporary works.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation methods
Construct, install and strip formwork for concrete pours in marine and civil environments
Cut, shape and fit timber, plywood, lightweight steel and wallboard components
Build and repair timber structures, fittings and fixtures
Verify levels, alignment and trueness of structures
Assist with temporary works, falsework and access structures
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all WHS procedures
Essential Criteria
Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent AQF/overseas qualification)
Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Carpenter or Formwork Carpenter
Demonstrated formwork experience in marine or civil construction
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong skills in cutting, shaping, joining and installing timber components
Competent with hand tools, power tools and carpentry machinery
White Card
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Highly Regarded
Experience on wharf, jetty, bridge or piling projects
Confined spaces or working at heights
Dogging or rigging tickets
Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
