Forklift MechanicService Technician

With continued growth Collins Adelaide requires an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our Workshop team based at Wingfield.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services including planned maintenance, repairs and modifications to our forklift fleet.

The bulk of fleet are Toyota and Hyster Forklifts.

We have high standards and all tasks will be performed within the our guidelines and procedures.

What you will do:

• Inspect, review, diagnose and determine faults

• Conduct safety and function checks

• Perform routine maintenance

• Deliver a professional level of service

• Maintain an accurate record of performed work

Qualifications and requirements:

• Current Driver's licence

• Current Forklift licence

• Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic)

• Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar in an associated industry

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience within the forklift industry is required

Skills and experience:

• Good time management skills with the ability to work independently

• Strong work ethic and self-motivation

• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices

We offer a friendly team environment with great remuneration. Given our rate of expansion there can be progression opportunities for the right applicant, The role will be based in Wingfield SA but some travel may be required to other depots from time to time.
