About the business
We are a small, tight-knit, and rapidly growing mechanical workshop with many years of trusted service under our belts. While we handle general servicing, our true specialty lies in automatic transmissions. We pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time, and our workload is consistently busy.
Because we are a growing team, we understand that life happens outside of work—which is why we offer a flexible, supportive workplace. We treat our staff like family, and we are looking for someone who values loyalty and dedication as much as we do.
About the role
We are seeking a qualified and well-trained Automotive Technician to join our team. If you have a strong diagnostic mind, a passion for precision, and a desire to grow alongside a stable business, you’ll fit right in.
While experience with automatic transmissions is a massive plus, a strong mechanical foundation, a willingness to learn our specialised processes, and the right attitude are what matter most.
Diagnose, service, and repair mechanical issues, with a heavy focus on automatic transmissions and drivetrains.
Perform standard logbook servicing, brake repairs, and general mechanical maintenance.
Utilize diagnostic scanning tools to accurately identify faults.
Work collaboratively with a small team to keep the workflow moving smoothly.
Well-Trained & Qualified: Trade certificate in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) or equivalent.
Dedicated & Loyal: We invest heavily in our team and want someone who is looking for a long-term home, not just a stepping stone.
Quality Focused: High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
Adaptable: Comfortable working in a busy, dynamic environment.
A current manual driver’s license is essential.
Benefits and perks
Great Hours & Balance: Work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Enjoy your weekends fully!
Attractive Remuneration: A highly competitive salary package is on offer for the right professional.
Flexibility: We support flexible working arrangements to help you balance work and life commitments.
Stability & Growth: A secure role in a long-standing business that is actively expanding.
Specialized Training: Opportunity to hone your skills in high-demand automatic transmission diagnostics and rebuilds.
Time to Unwind: Four weeks of annual leave per year to recharge.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
Qualifications: A trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, specifically holding a Certificate IV level Light Vehicle Mechanic qualification (any current Cert IV Light Vehicle qualification will be accepted).
Versatility: Proven ability to work confidently on all makes and models.
Autonomy: The ability to work unsupervised and efficiently manage your own workflow.
Tools: Must have your own tool box.
Licence: A current Australian manual driver's licence.
Citizenship: Australian citizenship is required for this position.
Values: A dedicated, loyal, and quality-focused work ethic.
