Trades Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of skilled tradespeople across Australia. We partner with major industrial, manufacturing and engineering organisations to deliver reliable, high-quality workforce solutions across workshop, maintenance and production environments.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team supporting a well-established client in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. 

The Role

This is a hands-on role offering a mix of workshop fabrication and site-based installation, maintenance and repair work.

No two days are the same, with exposure to a variety of projects across manufacturing and industrial environments.

You will be responsible for the fabrication, repair and maintenance of plant, equipment and structural steel components while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication and welding of structural steel and industrial components
  • Workshop-based manufacturing and assembly work
  • Site installation, maintenance, shutdown and repair activities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans
  • Perform MIG, TIG and Stick welding to a high standard
  • Carry out modifications, repairs and preventative maintenance work
  • Fault find and identify opportunities for equipment improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation
  • Contribute to a strong safety-first culture

What You'll Bring

  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Fabricator
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, maintenance or construction environments
  • Strong welding and fabrication skills across mild steel and stainless steel
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience working both independently and within a team
  • Forklift Licence (desirable)
  • Dogman and/or Rigging Licence (advantageous)
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets (highly regarded)
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Strong commitment to safety and workmanship
