Mechanical Fitter

Seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters!

Your new role
We are seeking multiple experienced Mechanical Fitters to work across sites and refineries within the Gladstone region. In this role, you will support maintenance teams undertaking fixed plant maintenance, reliability work, and shutdown activities, working across a variety of heavy industrial and process equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance across fixed plant equipment in heavy industrial and refinery environments
• Carry out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Support shutdowns, outages and major equipment overhauls
• Undertake mechanical installations, repairs and pipework activities
• Work across equipment including conveyors, pumps, tanks, washers and processing systems
• Assist with reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults and failures
• Collaborate with crews and supervisors to deliver safe and efficient maintenance outcomes
• Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety standards and procedures

Roster Options
A variety of lifestyle rosters are available depending on site and crew allocation, including:

• Lifestyle rotating rosters (day & night shift combinations)
• Monday to Friday roles
• Short swing rosters with regular 4-5 day breaks
• 9-day fortnight options (select roles)
• 4 on / 4 off rosters (majority)

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance (mining, smelter, refinery or heavy industry)
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to work across day and night shifts where required
• Flexibility with roster arrangements
• Residing in or willing to relocate to the Gladstone region
