BMW Qualified Mechanic

The Role

As a BMW Qualified Mechanic at Hidden Valley Ford, you will carry out scheduled servicing, mechanical repairs and diagnostics on BMW vehicles to manufacturer standards. You will be a key member of our workshop team, working alongside experienced technicians and service staff to deliver an outstanding ownership experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Workshop

• Perform logbook servicing, mechanical repairs and diagnostics on BMW vehicles

• Diagnose and repair complex faults using BMW diagnostic systems (e.g. ISTA)

• Complete all work in accordance with BMW manufacturer procedures and specifications

• Conduct quality checks on your own work to ensure accuracy and minimize comebacks

• Maintain accurate and thorough job card and warranty documentation

• Keep your work bay clean, safe and well-organized

Team & Customer

• Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts and fellow Technicians

• Communicate job updates and findings clearly to Service Advisors

• Uphold the workshop's reputation for quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction

About You

You are a trade-qualified technician with BMW-specific experience and a genuine commitment to quality workmanship.

Essential:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

• BMW qualification or significant BMW workshop experience

• Strong diagnostic ability, including experience with ISTA or equivalent BMW systems

• Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Highly Regarded:

• Experience in a franchised dealership or prestige automotive environment

• Familiarity with a Dealership Management System (DMS)

• Current NT driver's license (or ability to obtain one)
