We are currently seeking a Qualified Mechanic or 4th Year Apprentice to join our busy workshop team. This is a great opportunity to work across a diverse range of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, woodchippers, elevated work platforms (EWPs), and specialised plant machinery.
In this hands-on position, you'll work both independently and alongside our experienced mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet to a high standard, ensuring minimal downtime and supporting daily operations.
Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, plant, and equipment
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and safety
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults
Maintain accurate service records and report parts requirements
Manage workshop tasks to ensure efficiency and cleanliness
Assist with breakdown repairs both in-yard and on-site when required
Support junior staff and offsiders where applicable
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and procedures
Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanics (or 4th Year Apprentice nearing completion)
Must be currently enrolled in 4th year automotive mechanic apprenticeship
Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and plant equipment (preferred)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
MR Licence – essential
HR Licence – highly regarded
White Card – preferred
Strong work ethic and reliability
