AMD Commercial Furniture is a well-established family owned business and has a proud history of manufacturing and selling quality office furniture and joinery.

AMD is seeking a well rounded enthusiastic person with a broad range of skills in the commercial office furniture industry.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working in a cabinet making, joinery, shopfitting or commercial furniture manufacturing environment is essential.

• Formal cabinet making qualifications are not required if you have relevant hands-on industry experience.

• Experience assembling melamine cabinets, commercial joinery or flat-pack furniture components.

• Ability to accurately read and follow production drawings, cutting lists and assembly instructions.

• Competent using common cabinet making tools and equipment, including drills, screw guns, and hand tools.

• Understanding of cabinet hardware installation, including hinges, drawer runners, locks and fittings.

• Ability to measure accurately and maintain high attention to detail.

• Understanding of quality standards and the importance of producing work right the first time.

• Knowledge of safe manual handling practices and factory safety procedures.

• Able to identify and solve straightforward assembly and manufacturing issues without constant supervision.

What This Role Is Not

• This is not a highly specialised bespoke joinery position.

• We are seeking a practical production-focused cabinet maker/assembler who enjoys manufacturing and assembling commercial joinery products efficiently and accurately.

• Experience in high-volume cabinet assembly, commercial joinery or furniture manufacturing will be highly regarded.
