Toowoomba & Darling Downs, Queensland
Full time
7am start. Home by 3:30pm. Weekends off. Two weeks clear at Christmas. If that sounds like the shape of a decent working week, keep reading.
About Us
Fence Hire Australia is a family-owned Toowoomba business that’s been going strong for over 20 years. We supply temporary fencing to construction sites and events across the Darling Downs — trusted by some of the biggest names in the industry because we show up, do the job properly, and leave the site safer than we found it.
The Role
You’ll work as the offsider in a two-person crew out of our Toowoomba depot, installing and dismantling temporary fencing at sites across the region. It’s hands-on, physical work — panels, feet, gates, the lot — alongside experienced crew who’ll show you the ropes.
The day runs 7am to around 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. No weekends. No night work. You finish in time to pick the kids up from school, hit the gym, or put your feet up.
Why It’s a Good Gig
• Real work-life balance. Early start, early finish, weekends off, two full weeks over Christmas/New Year. Not a “work-life balance” written on a poster — the actual thing.
• A proper pathway. We pay for the right people to get their MR Truck Licence, which steps you up to our driver rate at $30/hr+. Welding training is also available in-house.
• Stable, permanent work. Full-time hours, super, annual leave, paid sick leave. Not casual. Not a six-month contract.
• A crew that gives a stuff. You’re not a number here. Our Toowoomba Ops Manager runs a tight, fair team, and effort gets noticed.
What You’ll Need
• A current White Card (Construction Induction)
• A valid manual driver’s licence and reliable transport to our Toowoomba depot
• Steel-capped boots and hi-vis workwear (bring them day one, we sort you from there)
• A strong work ethic and the fitness to handle a physical day
Prior fencing experience is a bonus, not a requirement. If you’ve done hands-on trade or site work and you’re not afraid of hard yakka, we’ll train you up.
