Qualified Roofing Contractor – Commercial & Industrial Roofing

Melbourne Roofing Projects is seeking a Qualified Roofing Contractor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the roofing trade to join our team on a contract basis.

This role is best suited to an experienced roofer with strong hands-on skills in commercial and industrial roofing projects. A roofing licence is not required, however, applicants must be able to demonstrate substantial experience and confidence working across commercial and industrial roof installations.

This is initially a contract position, with the opportunity to move into a permanent full-time role after 3 months for the right person.

Key Duties

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Installing commercial and industrial roof sheeting

• Box gutter installations

• Installing flashings, cappings, back trays and associated roofing components

• Carrying out roof repairs, maintenance and replacement works

• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with project requirements

• Working safely at heights and following all site safety procedures

• Coordinating with supervisors, project managers and other trades on site

• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and professional manner

• Identifying roofing issues and providing practical solutions on site

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Minimum 5 years’ roofing experience

• Strong commercial and industrial roofing experience

• Experience installing roof sheets, box gutters, flashings, cappings and back trays

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Reliable transport and own tools required

• White Card required

• EWP, Working at Heights and other relevant tickets required

• A strong understanding of workplace OHS requirements
