The Gardenmakers Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice - Maintenance Landscaping to join our growing team in Sydney. This is a full-time apprenticeship position based in the Sydney metro area, offering an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the landscaping and garden maintenance industry. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience whilst completing your formal training qualifications. This role is fundamental to our operations, allowing you to build a rewarding career in a dynamic and creative industry.

Key responsibilities

Assisting with the maintenance of gardens, landscapes and outdoor spaces under supervision
Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and tools safely and responsibly
Helping to maintain job sites, ensuring areas are clean and organised, including, but not limited to, pruning, lawn care, watering, weeding and general maintenance of established gardens
Learning and applying health and safety standards relevant to landscaping work
Contributing to team projects and assisting with client communication regarding work progress
Participating in on-site training and completing off-site apprenticeship modules

What we're looking for

A passion for gardening, landscaping or outdoor work and genuine interest in developing a career in the industry
Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
Willingness to learn and commitment to completing your apprenticeship qualification
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards work
Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail
A current, valid driver's licence is desirable
Access to a vehicle to travel to work is desirable
White Card - or willingness to obtain
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety protocols
Enthusiasm for helping clients achieve their landscaping goals
