Key Responsibilities:
- Check daily schedule & jobs — review the day's repair jobs to identify parts required and any urgent orders.
- Prioritise parts for production — mark which parts are needed immediately for vehicles on the hoist or in the paint bay.
- Source and order parts — contact suppliers, compare prices/lead times, place orders (POs) and chase urgent deliveries.
- Receive and inspect deliveries — check items against POs for quantity, part numbers and damage.
- Stock and organise — label and store parts with clear layout so technicians can find them quickly.
- Update Parts Check and iBody – Process invoices received.
- Manage returns — process credit notes, returns to suppliers when parts are faulty.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in parts management or a related role within the automotive industry is a MUST.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive parts, sourcing processes and industry standards.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
