Truck Wash Attendants – Tullamarine

Border Express currently has opportunities available for reliable and detail oriented Truck Wash Attendants to join our team at our Tullamarine Branch.

We have multiple full time positions available. Both roles will involve washing and maintaining the presentation of our fleet trucks and trailers. One of the positions will also require a minimum HC licence, as this person will be responsible for moving trailers in and out of the wash bay as required.

These roles are perfect for people with a strong eye for detail, a can do attitude, and pride in keeping equipment clean, safe and road ready.

About the Role

Reporting to the local branch team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of Border Express fleet trucks and trailers in line with company standards.

Duties will include:

• Washing, foaming and rinsing prime movers and trailers to presentation standards

• Using tyre shine and cleaning materials to ensure wheels and tyres are clean and well presented

• Cleaning out grates and drains as required

• Moving trailers in and out of the wash bay, where you hold a valid HC or MC licence

• Assisting with general yard upkeep and maintenance

• Following all safety procedures and keeping the wash bay area clean and tidy

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A valid HC or MC licence, required for one of the available positions

• Previous experience in a similar hands on, yard, wash bay or transport environment, highly regarded

• A punctual, reliable and safety focused approach

• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

• Good attention to detail and pride in your work

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physical fitness for hands-on work

• Own reliable transport
