NAILS TECHNICIAN

1. Core Responsibilities

·         Manicures & Pedicures: Clean, cut, shape, and file fingernails and toenails. Treat cuticles, remove calluses, and soften skin using specialized hand and foot treatments. [

·         Nail Enhancements: Apply, maintain, and safely remove acrylic extensions, gel extensions, shellac, and dip powder systems. Use electric files and specialist tools with high precision.

·         Nail Art & Design: Consult with clients to recommend styles, colors, and customized decorative nail art (including hand-painting, rhinestones, and airbrushing techniques).

·         Massages: Provide relaxing hand, arm, foot, and lower leg massages during treatment sessions.

2. Hygiene, Safety & Salon Operations

·         Sanitization: Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain all nail tools, equipment, and workstations before and after each client to meet Australian health and safety regulations.

·         Chemical Safety: Read, interpret, and safely handle hazardous beauty products and chemicals (monomer, acetone, UV gels).

·         Client Consultation: Assess client nail and skin health, identify potential contraindications (e.g., fungal infections), and advise on proper aftercare and home-care products.

·         Administration: Manage client bookings, handle point-of-sale (POS) financial transactions, maintain customer records, and monitor inventory of salon supplies.
