SSA Group is partnering with a leading electrical contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Leading Hand to join their growing projects team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified electrician with strong leadership skills who is looking to take the next step in their career, overseeing site activities while remaining hands-on with installation and construction works.
The Role Working closely with Site Supervisors and Project Management teams, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day site operations, leading tradespeople on site and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role Working closely with Site Supervisors and Project Management teams, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day site operations, leading tradespeople on site and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate electrical tradespeople on commercial construction projects
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and commissioning works
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with AS3000, project specifications and relevant standards
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment to maintain productivity
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are delivered in line with project programs
- Maintain quality workmanship and compliance across all site activities
- Ensure safe work practices are followed by all personnel on site
- Conduct toolbox talks and provide guidance and support to apprentices and electricians
- Liaise with supervisors, project managers, suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintain site documentation including diaries, plant registers and project records
- Assist with procurement and resource planning as required
- Trade qualified Electrician
- Current Electrical Licence and relevant supervisory qualifications
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Electrician on commercial projects
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and electrical installation practices
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate site activities effectively
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safety, quality and productivity
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
