Are you an experienced building and timber pest inspector looking to focus on pre-purchase building and timber pest inspections? WA Buildinspect is a trusted, family-owned business providing accurate, timely pre-purchase building & pest inspection reports across Perth. With 20+ years in local construction, we deliver reports that exceed Australian Standards and help clients make informed decisions.

We are currently in an exciting expansion phase and are looking for a building & pest inspector to join our team. You will be undertaking pre-purchase inspections in the residential market.

The Role

As an Inspector for WA Buildinspect, you will:

• Conduct thorough pre-purchase building and timber pest inspections across the Perth area.

• Identify structural defects, safety risks, and timber pest activity.

• Utilise our digital reporting software to produce clear, detailed and highly visual reports.

• Provide professional guidance to clients, explaining technical findings in a clear and approachable way.

About You

You are a registered builder who takes pride in thoroughness. The following requirements are essential:

• A WA Registered Building Practitioner.

• An excellent understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards.

• Physically fit and comfortable accessing roof voids and sub-floors.

• Tech-savvy using mobile apps/tablets for reporting and producing reports.

• A confident communicator who values integrity and customer service.

• Minimum 5 years of pre-purchase building and timber pest experience. 

• Timber pest inspection qualifications. 

• Your own reliable vehicle and professional inspection tools (moisture meter, ladders, etc).

• Valid driver’s licence and national police clearance.
