Technical Design and Sales Engineer

Airbag Man is Australia’s leading airbag and air suspension specialist for the industrial and transport sectors with products covering a range of industry.  We require a Sales Engineer, who has ambition to work long term within our progressive company at Brendale on Brisbane’s Northside.  This position is full-time with a three month probationary period.  Airbag man operates under an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and would require the successful applicant to be highly customer orientated, reliable and professional.

 The Role:

We are looking for applicants who are mechanically minded with excellent supplier and customer communication, well spoken, excellent literacy and numeracy skills, confident multitaskers who can work within our Product Development team collaborating on new product design, technical sales enquiries, after sales support, including International sales and support, confident to work on vehicles.

There will be opportunity to travel for business.

This work will be performed under the scope of our Quality Assurance processes and procedures and on the job training will be provided. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Product development

• CAD, SolidworksProvide outstanding Customer Service and Support

• Use of 3D Printer and 3D scanner

• Creation of Installation and Assembly instructions

• Identifying customer’s needs and making recommendations for their application

• Updating and maintaining CRM System & Records

• Processing and follow up on sales, quotes, referrals, and enquiries

• Occasional Face-to-Face sales & quotations

• Attending Trade Shows as required (Occasional Nights & Weekends)

• Provide after-sales support

  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience in Sales 

• Experience in customer service 

• Automotive experience preferred 

• Clear and concise communication skills

• Enthusiasm to develop and increase personal product knowledge

• A sound level of literacy and numeracy skills

• Intermediate Computer Skills

• CAD, Solidworks

• (BONUS) Familiarity with Mandarin or Mandarin speaking.
  

 Other Opportunities:
The company is happy to fund and provide onsite certificates within the Automotive industry, such as AUR20705 Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical and AUR20420 Certificate II in Automotive Electrical.

NB: It is preferred that applicants are located in Brisbane and have Permanent Work Rights.
