Structural Steel Detailer – Albury/Wodonga

 

Macfab Engineering is seeking a skilled and experienced Tekla Structural Steel Detailer to join our growing team in Albury/Wodonga. This key role responsible for producing shop drawings for our structural steel projects.

We use Tekla Structures software for all drawing production, so proficiency in the use of Tekla is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce accurate and detailed shop drawings using Tekla Structures software.

• Collaborate with project coordinators and fabricators to clarify technical requirements and resolve design issues.

• Ensure all drawings comply with current Australian Standards and relevant building codes.

• Generate bills of materials and other supporting documentation required for fabrication and assembly.

About You

• Demonstrated experience as a Structural Steel Detailer, with a strong understanding of steel products and fabrication processes.

• Proficient in Tekla Structures – modelling, detailing, and drawing creation.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet project deadlines.
