Civil All Rounder MC Truck Driver

Key responsibilities

1. Operate MC trucks safely and efficiently, including loading, transporting, and unloading materials and equipment to and from construction sites

2. Perform a range of civil construction tasks such as excavation, grading, compaction, and site preparation using appropriate machinery and hand tools

3. Maintain and conduct pre-operation checks on trucks and plant equipment to ensure they are in safe working order

4. Adhere to all traffic laws, workplace health and safety regulations, and company policies whilst operating vehicles and machinery

5. Communicate effectively with supervisors, site managers, and team members to coordinate activities and resolve any issues on site

6. Assist with general site maintenance, housekeeping, and material management to keep the work area safe and organised

7. Support other team members and contribute to a collaborative and productive work environment

8. Report any incidents, near misses, or equipment faults immediately to management

Future roles can include DIDO and FIFO positions as well as remote work.

What we're looking for

1. Valid MC truck licence in Australia

2. Proven experience as a truck driver and civil plant operator on construction or civil works projects

3. Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of civil construction plant and machinery safely and competently

4. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, particularly in construction environments

5. Ability to work flexibly on a casual basis and adapt to varying project schedules (Opportunity for full time for the right candidate)

6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions and take direction from supervisors

7. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour and operate machinery in outdoor conditions

8. Reliability and punctuality with a professional attitude to work

9. Beneficial: experience with GPS and technology-based plant equipment, previous experience on Northern Territory projects, or remote/bush work.
