TRUCK TECH is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Chipping Norton team. As a key leader within the branch, you'll work closely with the Branch Manager to drive workshop performance, support technicians, and ensure customers receive the high level of service we're known for.

About The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the workshop operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving daily workshop operations and workflow

  • Allocating technicians based on skill, capacity, and priority

  • Managing job scheduling and forward workload planning

  • Monitoring job progress, ETAs, and workshop productivity

  • Working closely with Service and Parts teams to maximise efficiency

  • Managing workshop logistics, subcontractors, and drivers

  • Supporting the onboarding, training, and development of technicians

  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance

  • Acting as 2IC to the Branch Manager


What We're Looking For

  • Certificate III in Commercial Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (this is essential)

  • HR or HC licence preferred

  • Previous experience in a Workshop Manager or similar leadership role

  • Strong heavy vehicle or workshop experience

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage workflow

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • A hands-on leader who takes ownership and drives results
