EZY ENERGY is the dedicated renewable energy sister company of EZYAIR, a domestic HVAC market leader founded in 2007. Based in Burwood, Victoria, EZY ENERGY is scaling rapidly to provide high-quality solar PV and battery storage solutions to the Melbourne market.

You will be working side by side with the Management team of EZYAIR (which includes Solar and Battery Electricians) by joining the sister company one of the largest domestic HVAC companies in Victoria with almost 20 years of operating in the electrification field.

We are seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Leading Hand to join our team during this exciting launch phase. This role requires a "start-up" mentality, someone who is ready to be hands-on while rolling out the EZY ENERGY brand and procedures.

Role Summary

As a Leading Hand, you will be the senior technical onsite presence, guiding a team of newly accredited solar and battery electricians and apprentices. You will ensure that every installation meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency that EZYAIR is known for.

You will already have established contacts within the solar and battery industry, both with suppliers and also colleagues and other solar and battery workers who may be looking for a fresh start with a new and dynamic company backed by a highly established business. 

Key Responsibilities

• Onsite Leadership: Lead the daily operations of installation teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and to EZY ENERGY's exacting standards.

• Technical Excellence: Perform hands-on installation of Solar PV systems and Battery Storage solutions while mentoring junior staff and apprentices.

• Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to ESV standards, Solar Victoria requirements, and internal OHS policies.

• Software Proficiency: An in-depth knowledge of using Pylon software for system design and presentation.

• Project Coordination: Liaise with the EZYAIR management team to refine installation procedures for EZY ENERGY and provide feedback on site conditions and project progress.

• Customer Interaction: Act as the primary onsite point of contact for customers, ensuring a professional and high-quality service experience.

Required Qualifications & Licenses

Candidates must hold the following credentials to be considered:

• Current ESV A Grade Electrical License

• Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) in both Solar PV and Battery Storage

• Current Solar Victoria Registration

• Construction Induction (White Card)

• Working at Heights

• EWP (Elevated Work Platform)

• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

• First Aid Certificate

Working Conditions & Remuneration

• Location: 49 Huntingdale Rd, Burwood VIC 3125.

• Hours: 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM (includes 1.8 hours of daily overtime).

• Fully Maintained Vehicle and company phone: You provide your own hand tools and we provide a fully maintained company vehicle and fuel card.
