About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute State Operations Manager - Queensland (QLD) to lead operational excellence across our Queensland distribution network located at Brendale.

As the State Operations Manager - QLD, you will have full accountability for operational performance across the state's distribution centres and logistics network. You will drive service, cost efficiency, safety, and team performance while translating national strategy into effective local execution.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to lead high-performing teams in a dynamic supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion APG Values - Customer First, Smart Service, One Team, Safe for All

  • Oversee daily, monthly, and annual operational performance across Queensland distribution centre, ensuring achievement of service, cost, and productivity KPIs.

  • Undertake state based planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, security, environmental regulations, and company policies.

  • Manage Operations, Assets and infrastructure to deliver efficient, cost-effective operations.

  • Build leadership capability, managing performance and succession planning, and fostering accountability and professional growth across teams.

  • Partner with peer State Operations Managers and support functions to align standards, share best practices, develop commercial business cases, and deliver consistent national execution.

About you.:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in multi-site operations, distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.

  • Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience.

  • Demonstrated success in driving operational KPIs across service, cost, safety, and productivity.

  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and operational compliance requirements.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • A collaborative leadership style aligned to values-driven organisations
