With 30 years of experience in the Australian market and long-standing partnerships with major industrial, agricultural, and food distribution companies, Strap + Wrap is at the forefront of the industry.

As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our advanced industrial packaging systems. You will be responsible for providing technical support, conducting repairs and maintenance, and delivering exceptional customer service to our esteemed clients.

About you - qualifications & experience

Proven experience in mechanical service, either industrial or motor.

Formal trade qualification essential, with electrical experience an advantage.

Proficient in performing mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.

Self-motivated to work within a small team

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Flexibility to work during non-business hours or weekends, as needed (not regularly, with overtime).

Tasks & responsibilities

Perform onsite installation, configuration, and calibration of strapping systems and stretch wrapping machines

Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to optimize system performance and minimize downtime

Collaborate with customers to identify their specific packaging requirements and provide tailored solutions

Provide training and guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of our systems

Coordinate with internal teams to address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service activities, including parts replacements and repairs

Stay up to date with industry trends, new product developments and technological advancements in packaging systems

Some regional travel is required. Working across industries with freezer facilities, abattoirs, and other industrial sites.

Salary package $105K-$115K, plus superannuation, fully maintained work vehicle and work phone. Salary range dependent on experience.
