Apprentice Horticulturist / Gardener

Hough Gardens Pty Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Horticulturist to join our growing team.

We specialise in the maintenance and development of some of Melbourne's finest residential gardens across Melbourne's inner suburbs, Bayside and the Mornington Peninsula. Our work focuses on high-quality horticulture, attention to detail and exceptional client service.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to build a long-term career in horticulture while working alongside experienced horticulturists and team leaders.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

• Garden maintenance and plant care

• Pruning, hedging and topiary

• Plant identification and horticultural knowledge

• Irrigation installation and maintenance

• Integrated pest and disease management

• Soil improvement and fertiliser programs

• Soft landscaping and planting projects

• Safe operation of horticultural equipment

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about plants and the outdoors

• Reliable and punctual

• Hard-working and physically fit

• Well presented and professional

• Eager to learn and develop new skills

• Able to work as part of a team

• Takes pride in their work and attention to detail

• Holds a current driver's licence (preferred but not essential)

• Australian citizen with full work rights

• Minimum 18 years of age

Previous gardening, landscaping or horticultural experience is advantageous but not required.
