Qualified Plumber

About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Plumber to join DC Plumbing Roofing & Gas Co. on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established plumbing, roofing and gas company serving the Tolga QLD 4882 area and surrounding regions. As a Qualified Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems for a diverse range of residential, commercial and industrial clients. This role offers the chance to utilise your expertise whilst working on varied projects that require technical skill, problem-solving ability and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

1. Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, drainage systems and water supply installations

2. Diagnose plumbing faults and determine the most effective solutions for clients

3. Perform routine maintenance and emergency call-out repairs for residential and commercial properties

4. Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian plumbing codes and regulations

5. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately

6. Work safely on various job sites, adhering to health and safety protocols

7. Communicate effectively with clients regarding work scope, timelines and costs

8. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

9. Complete paperwork and job documentation promptly and accurately

What we're looking for

1. Current, valid plumbing licence recognised in Queensland

2. Proven experience as a qualified plumber in residential, commercial or industrial settings

3. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a qualified plumber is required for this position

4. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials and industry best practices

5. Competency in reading technical drawings and plans

6. Sound understanding of Australian plumbing codes and regulations

7. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

9. Strong communication and customer service skills

10. A reliable vehicle and current driving licence

11. Physical fitness and ability to work in varied environmental conditions

12. High level of professionalism and attention to detail

13. Experience with gas fitting and roofing work is advantageous

14. Valid work visa acceptable for candidates who do not hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency
