MR Delivery Truck Delivery Driver

About the role

We are currently seeking 2 MR Delivery Truck Delivery Driver's to join our team at our Beenleigh, QLD location. This is a casual position that offers reliable ongoing work whilst providing an essential service to our customers. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of gas bottles to our customers across the region. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their deliveries on time and in excellent condition. The position is based on-site at our Beenleigh facility, with regular travel throughout the delivery area.

Key responsibilities

1. Operate and drive a medium rigid (MR) delivery truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies

2. Execute planned delivery routes accurately and professionally, delivering gas bottles to our designated customers

3. Perform vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is maintained in safe working condition

4. Load and unload goods from the delivery truck in a safe and organised manner

5. Obtain customer signatures and manage delivery documentation accurately

6. Communicate professionally with customers and respond to enquiries regarding deliveries

7. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and any delivery issues

8. Report any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements to management immediately

9. Comply with all traffic laws, company policies and occupational health and safety requirements

What we're looking for

1. Current and valid MR driving licence (Medium Rigid truck licence)

2. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving truck operation

3. Minimum of 1-2 years delivery driving experience required

4. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and a commitment to safe driving practices

5. Excellent customer service skills and professional communication abilities

6. Physical fitness as some heavy lifting is involved

7. Ability to lift gas bottles weighing up to 30kg

8. Reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic

9. Ability to work independently whilst following delivery schedules and instruction

10. Basic computer skills for managing delivery documentation and tracking systems

11. A clean driving record
