About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Truck Driver / Workshop Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role combining local deliveries and transport duties with workshop support. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles, assisting with workshop operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Truck Driving Duties

  • Safely operate company trucks for local deliveries and collections.

  • Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment.

  • Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues.

  • Ensure compliance with road safety and transport regulations.

Workshop Assistant Duties

  • Assist tradespeople and technicians with workshop tasks.

  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for jobs.

  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation.

  • Assist with stock control and inventory management.

  • Perform basic maintenance and general labouring duties as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Valid driver's licence

  • Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).

  • Previous truck driving or workshop experience preferred.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to safety.

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
