The Opportunity

Due to our continued success and growth, we are currently seeking a Field Service Technician with a strong mechanical background to join our Mt Waverley team. We service the Greater Melbourne area, and while we welcome applications from anywhere in Melbourne, we are particularly keen to hear from candidates based in Melbourne's West to help us balance coverage across our growing customer base.

The Role

As part of our Service team, your core duties will include:

  • Carrying out repairs and servicing on a wide variety of Materials Handling Equipment within the Waverley Forklifts fleet and on customer-owned assets

  • Representing Waverley Forklifts in a professional and positive manner, delivering excellent customer service

  • Working independently in the field and in coordination with our Service team as required

  • Additional project work and tasks as directed

The Right Person

You are experienced, skilled and enthusiastic - someone who embraces challenges and takes pride in doing the job right. You bring energy and a positive attitude to everything you do.

Specifically, you will demonstrate:

  • Recent and relevant trade experience as a mechanic or field technician in forklifts, materials handling, construction equipment or automotive

  • The ability to accurately diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently

  • Outstanding customer service skills and professional personal presentation

  • Accuracy and thoroughness in completing required documentation and paperwork

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Initiative and the ability to problem-solve efficiently in the field

  • A willingness to work as part of a high-performing team and autonomously when required
