About the role

Rock Solid Makeovers is seeking an experienced Kitchen Fitter and Stone Overlay Benchtop Installer to join our growing team in Rockingham, Western Australia. This is a full-time position (or sub-contractor arrangement) that offers the opportunity to work on high-quality kitchen renovation projects, installing stone overlay benchtops and completing comprehensive kitchen fitting work. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional finishes that enhance our clients' homes, working on diverse projects throughout the Perth region and surrounding areas. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with craftsmanship to create stunning kitchen transformations.

Key responsibilities

1. Install stone overlay benchtops with precision and attention to detail, ensuring professional finishes that meet client specifications and quality standards

2. Perform comprehensive kitchen fitting tasks, including cabinetry installation, alignment, and secure fastening

3. Measure, cut, and prepare materials to exact specifications for kitchen installations and benchtop projects

4. Collaborate with other tradespeople and project teams to ensure seamless project completion and timely delivery

5. Inspect completed work to verify that all installations meet quality standards and client expectations

6. Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and site protocols

7. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any necessary adjustments

8. Use and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Kitchen Fitter or Stone Overlay Benchtop Installer, preferably with 5+ years in the building trades industry

2. Demonstrated expertise in installing stone overlay benchtops and completing kitchen fitting projects to professional standards

3. Strong practical skills with hand and power tools commonly used in kitchen installation and benchtop work

4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes that exceed client expectations

5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project plans

6. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project challenges and site conditions

7. Reliable, professional approach to work with strong time management and organisational abilities

8. Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour and work at heights where necessary

9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients
