About the role 

-APPRENTICE-

As a an Apprentice Carpenter with SS Building Group PTY LTD, you will have the opportunity to further learn and develop essential carpentry and construction skills while working on a variety of custom home residential and semi commercial projects. This full-time role is based mostly around western and northern suburbs of Melbourne as well as the macedon ranges and surrounding areas and will provide you with hands-on experience and training to kickstart your career in the carpentry and industry.

This role is suited for someone who has made a start in carpentry and knows the basics and is looking to further excel and expand in there apprenticeship out in the industry as well as looking for a fresh start and being part of a professional structure that encourages growth.

What you'll be doing

• Assist experienced carpenters with there tasks while learning all aspects of carpentry

• Develop proficiency in the use of hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade

• Develop a strong work efficiency that will benefit you in all aspects of life

What we're looking for

• A keen interest and passion for a career in carpentry and construction

• A long term apprentice who is willing to grow in our business and with the right people around them grow in to a long term role in our company once apprenticeship is completed

• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail

• Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the role

• Enthusiasm for learning new skills and a willingness to take direction from experienced tradespeople

• Commitment to working safely and following all relevant regulations and procedures

• Able to work in a fast paced environment
