As the Victorian and Tasmanian distributor for Centsys products (https://www.centsys.com.au/), the successful candidate will predominantly work with Centsys equipment while also gaining exposure to a broad range of other gate automation systems and technologies.

Position Description

We are currently seeking a Service and Installation Technician to join our team based in Thomastown. This field-based role is responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation support across a wide range of gate automation products. While the role is predominantly Melbourne metro-based, occasional regional travel will be required.

You will be provided with an attractive salary package, fully maintained company vehicle, mobile phone, power tools, and ongoing training and support.  You will be working alongside an experienced and collaborative team as we support Centsys products.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times

  • Fault finding, diagnosis and repairs across a wide range of gate automation equipment

  • Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance

  • Replacing and upgrading equipment where required

  • Assisting with and completing gate automation installations

  • Delivering high-quality workmanship and attention to detail

 

Key selection criteria:

Current Australian working rights

Solid mechanical aptitude including sound welding skills

Basic electrical and electronic understanding

Ability to read and interpret product documentation

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads effectively

Current driver's licence

Ability to obtain and pass Working With Children and Police Checks where required

Strong work ethic with a reliable and professional approach

Experience with mechanical and/or low-voltage electrical components will be highly regarded; however, ongoing on-the-job training and technical support will be provided to ensure success in the role.

This is an autonomous position that requires a self-motivated individual with initiative, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently.

Our ideal candidate will be located within Melbourne, preferably in the eastern or northern/western suburbs for travel efficiency to work and client sites; however, applications from candidates across all Melbourne suburbs are welcome.
