About the position:

  • Full-time (76 hours/fortnight)

  • Working Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 2:30pm

  • Based at our North Parramatta site

  • Attractive hourly rates equivalent to SES Grade 3 $26.37/hr

About the Opportunity

A General Hand with Flourish Australia’s Community Businesses is required to work alongside supported employees and to act as a role model for people with diverse levels of skills and expertise. To achieve this, you will be required to ensure that efficient and quality work is carried out whilst also ensuring supported employee and business service satisfaction.

This is a hands-on and diverse role requiring you to support our team in delivering high-quality commercial grounds and garden maintenance services within our community businesses. The role is based out of North Parramatta, with daily start and finish times at this location. You will travel with a dedicated team to service WaterNSW dams, including Nepean, Avon, Cataract, Cordeaux, and Woronora, scheduled across the month.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Ability to work empathetically with persons with a lived experience of mental health challenges.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to motivate and assist team members.

  • Current NSW drivers licence.

Desirable:

  • Certification in horticulture or similar is preferred.

  • A personal lived experience of a mental health challenge.
