MIG Welder - Caravan Chassis

RV Dynamics Pty Ltd is based in Campbellfield. We are seeking candidates with MIG welding experience to assist in the fabrication of our chassis at our welding manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be working here in Campbellfield postcode 3061, Victoria.

We have a fulltime, permanent position available for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate seeking long term employment in our company. Candidates with welding fabrication/welding experience are sought. Candidates with experience in the MIG welding of Caravan, Truck or Trailer chassis are ideal. Supervision will be provided.

• Hours of Duty : 38 per week to be worked 7.00am-3.30pm Mon-Thur, 7.00am-1.00pm Fri plus reasonable overtime

• Manufacturing & Associated Industries & Occupations Award 2020 conditions apply.

• 3 months probation and subject to satisfactory performance permanent thereafter.

• Welding Equipment provided by our company

• Annual leave is taken during scheduled company closures

• Tea and lunch breaks are observed

Duties include:

• Setting up components for welding according to specifications

• Use & knowledge of Mig welding/fabrication tools to weld

• Weld/Metal Fabrication of steel parts to assemble a complete caravan chassis

• Adhere to metal fabrication quality standards

• Adhere to metal fabrication OHS requirements

• Reading, understanding and implementing Job Card requirements for chassis welding

• Verifying dimensions & Job Card requirements

• Ensure all required parts for fabrication are present

• Ensure quality control standards for fabrication are met

• Testing/Checking products for their functionality to minimize problems or recalls

• Report and detail product malfunctions

• General clean up to avoid accidents

Selection Criteria

• Qualifications in metal fabrication (Welding)

• Minimum 2 years experience in Welding in a manufacturing work environment

• Understanding of OHS requirements in a welding & manufacturing environment

• Physically fit to meet manual handling requirements of position

• Ability to take direction on tasks required and OHS

• Ability to work as part of a team
