• Fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical failures with minimal downtime
• Corrective repairs and quality component replacement to manufacturer standards

• Active participation in toolbox talks, pre-start checks, and HSE initiatives
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to support production goals
WHAT YOU BRING
Essential
• Australian-recognised trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting (Fitter/Turner or Fitter)
• Minimum 2 years' post-trade mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment
• Demonstrated understanding of HSE obligations and safe work practices
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Strong attention to detail and a disciplined, methodical approach to fault diagnosis
• Valid Australian driver's licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
Highly Regarded
• Experience in paper, pulp, or recycling industry environments
• Heavy fixed plant installation and maintenance background
• EWP, Working at Heights, and Confined Space certificates (or willingness to obtain)
• Exposure to conveyor systems, industrial pumps, and high-speed rotating equipment
WHAT WE OFFER
✔ Permanent full-time employment
✔ Day shift only — work-life balance
✔ Structured career development pathways
✔ Supportive, safety-first team culture
✔ National network with long-term stability
✔ Leadership opportunities as you grow
