About the role

We are seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics / Light Vehicle Mechanics to join our growing team based either at our workshop in Mt Thorley (10 mins from Singleton) or in a field service role supporting our Muswellbrook / Singleton operations. Working on a wide variety of light vehicles, trucks and small plant. The successful applicants will have previous experience in similar roles and be a self starter. Autoworks workshop takes on a wide variety of work however is primarily 4x4 based.

Positions

• Workshop Based Roles: Based in Mt Thorley completing all tasks from servicing, all major repairs, suspension upgrades, clutches, brakes, bearings, diagnostics etc. On a wide variety of vehicles, however primarily Hilux's, Landcruisers, Triton's and Rangers etc.

• Field Service Role: Includes work ute and fuel card, working in the Singleton and Muswellbrook areas supporting our contracts on fleets. This includes servicing and repairs to small to medium plant (Forklifts, EWP's, Generators, Pumps, 4x4 Utes and Medium Trucks)

Mandatory skills

• Trade Qualification's / Certificate of Proficiency

• Previous experience in a similar role 

• Diagnostic experience 

• Self starter and ability to work as part of a team

• Valid drivers license

• Must be able to follow all WH&S procedures and have the ability to work safely

• Must be an Australian citizen / resident

• Previous experience with breakdowns 

• Ability to pass and maintain an Order 45 Coal Board Medical (at our expense)

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• High risk work license / training (forklift)

• Light vehicle AIS examiner certificate 

• Qualified A/C technician 

• Qualified Auto Electrician

• Truck licence
