We are a small, family owned business, located in Narre Warren. With a reputation for honesty, our workshop has been serving the Narre Warren community for 40+ years. We repair and service all makes and models and also hold a Roadworthy inspection license. We pride ourselves on a high standard of workmanship, and down to earth, excellent customer service.

About the role:

Fountain Gate Automotive is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our small team in Narre Warren, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles, using your technical expertise and the latest diagnostic equipment,

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks; including servicing and replacing parts,

  • Carry out complex tasks, i.e. timing belts & chains, cylinder head repairs etc.,

  • Accurately diagnose and document repairs and future maintenance recommendations,

  • Maintain a safe, clean & organised work environment while ensuring the proper use of tools and specialised equipment,

  • Test and inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards,

  • Provide customer service and advice to clients (phone & in person) as required.

What we're looking for:

  • Formal qualification in Automotive Mechanics,

  • Minimum 4 years of Automotive Technician experience is required, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics techniques,

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues,

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work,

  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to customers,

  • Reliable, punctual, conscientious and adaptable with a strong work ethic,

  • A current Driver's License and your own tools.
