About us

Gulf Parts & Service is our busy family-owned Repco Authorised Service Centre & RACQ mechanical repair workshop, based in Weipa QLD. Specialising in all makes and models from 4WDs to commercial fleet vehicles, we stock the Cape's most extensive range of parts & accessories across suspension, steering, brakes and more. About the role

As a Mechanic, you'll service/repair a diverse fleet of light vehicles, medium trucks, associated plant & machinery across workshop and field settings.

Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:

• servicing, fault finding, and repairs across a variety of vehicles

• maintaining mobile plant, trucks, light vehicles & equipment

• workshop-based and field service work as required

• diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical issues

• completing job cards and service reports

• ensuring all work is completed safely and to standard.

What we're looking for

• Full Australian working rights essential (we cannot provide sponsorship)

• Previous Mechanic experience or similar essential

• Trade-qualified LV Mechanic

• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

• Current QLD Driver’s Licence

• Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.

Additional tickets & desirable qualifications

• Air-conditioning licence

• Auto-electrical experience

• Forklift ticket.
